In depth study of factors like level of innovation of the product, the value it offers to the users, uniqueness of the product from alternatives, its monetization strategy and iit’s reach must be done.
Business goals are structured and the feasibility to attain these goals are taken into consideration. The content and format of the business plan is determined by the goals and audience.
A feasibility study is done on the product economic viability, its closest competitors, current market trends and user expectations for similar products.
Proof of Concept
POC is done on the product’s feasibility, whether intended user experience can be achieved, if the concept is appealing to potential users, whether all the features can be incorporated to the product and also regarding the validity of the assumptions of conceptualization.
Capturing all user stories, using simple user flows and utilising best channels to reach target groups and also addressing all operational flows in the design are the basic key elements when it comes to design validation.
Questions like What are the base features of the products? What are the need to have and good to have features? What are the implicit requirements of the product / features? What is the user feedback for the previous sprints? will be considered and needed improvements are made.
Planning on the composition of the alpha phase and the need of a pivot need to be done. Solution to the most critical feedback from the alpha release should be found and demographics of the beta release need to be plot. The rollout strategy from Pilot to MVP launch, the operational enhancements needed, launch offers and strategies are some other factors to be considered during this phase.
Enhancements and Repositioning is planned based on the alpha release feedbacks and the corresponding sprints and releases are made.
The product release survey about level of user engagement has the product achieved, projections from the marketing metrics, level of customer retention and more need to be done. A study of features that the competitors lack and the shortcomings of the current product is essential.
Research on the product’s potential pitfalls, relevance after a year, new features competitors comes up with, new market trends and prominent new technologies is done.
